Auburn Lakes Custom Swimming Pool Construction Schedule - Spring, TXDAY 1 - November 25th EXCAVATION & STEELExcavation began today on a custom built gunite swimming pool in Auburn Lakes, Spring, TX. The pool will have a 7' round spa raised 18", with a 4 function spa side switch. It will include a tanning ledge with two fountains and a moss rock waterfall with five weepers. Spring Pools will also be installing an Outdoor Kitchen complete with gas bar-b-que, sink, and refrigerator. The deck area around the spa will be raised six inches and have a gas fire pit.
The pool is laid out. It is then staked out; level set; then form boards are nailed into place. If there is any existing structures within the pool and deck area (ie landscaping, patios, sidewalks, trees), they are removed at this time.
Spring Pools not only Excavated the pool on Day One, we installed the Steeland the Stub Plumbing.
Typically we Excavate on Day One and install the Steel and Stub Plumbing on Day Two. This time several factors came together which allowed it to take place on Day One.
DAY 2 - November 26thThanksgiving - Spring Pools would like to give thanks to its talented quality craftsman, and subcontractors who make the best custom swimming pools in Spring, The Woodlands and surrounding areas! And a special thanks to all of its customers who have given us the opportunity to build their swimming pool!!
DAY 3 - November 27th GUNITEToday the gunite sub-contractor Modern Method gets an early start. Too early for some neighbors on the day after Thanksgiving. Our apologies for waking you. The area is prepped with plastic covering and tarps to prevent any of the gunite adhering to the home or other structures. The pool level is double-checked for accuracy.
The sculpting of the gunite begins. Notches for tile, water features, rock, lights, and controllers are carved out of the gunite.

DAY 9 - December 3rd PLUMBINGStarted the Plumbing today. Its cold and muddy. Installed Pentiar pumps, cartridge filter, gas heater, and chlorine generator. Customer wanted two fountains on the tanning ledge, but did not want an extra pump. We valved off the variable speed pool pump, which will allow for extra water flow to the fountains. The only drawback is the fountains will not be operable when the pool pump is in "Spa Mode".
DAY 10 - December 4th PLUMBINGFinished installing the plumbing and gas lines for the Outdoor Bar-B-Que and Fire Pit before it started snowing. Backfilled the trenches.
DAY 11 & 12 - December 5th & 6th SATURDAY & SUNDAYNo Work Scheduled.
DAY 13 - December 7th ELECTRICALStarted and Finished installation on the Electrical and Automation systems for the swimming pool. We installed a Pentair Easytouch wireless control system. The wireless controller allows up to eight (8) functions to be controlled from anywhere in the house or the yard. You can operate pumps, water features, lights, pool cleaner, chlorine generator and much more.
The customer all has a four (4) function spa side switch intalled. This allows for operation of the spa controls will sitting in the spa. Another nice feature added were the LED lights. With the Easytouch sytem there are seven (7) preset "light shows"
DAY 14 - December 8th TILE, COPING & ROCKTile and Coping is started today. The rock work is first. Spring Pools uses moss rock for its waterfalls and weeping rock designs. After the pool is filled with water, the "cap" rocks will be set in place to give the look of water flowing out of the rock.
DAY 15 - December 9th TILE, COPING & ROCKThe tile and coping is place around the pool. The coping is a hand chipped Oklahoma flagstone. The tile in the swimming pool and around the spa is a matted stone look design of ceramic tile. A very nice look with the 18" raised spa.
DAY 16 - December 10th TILE, COPING & ROCKThe Tile and Coping work is finished. We are ready to start the Deck.
DAY 17 - December 11th DECKWe were able to form the deck today despite the threat of rain. The deck is raised six inches (6") around the spa, with a gas fire pit in the middle of the raised area. The deck is drained with a one inch (1") strip drain along the slab of the house. This will divert any water on the deck that flows back towards the house.
DAY 18 & 19 - December 12th & 13th SATURDAY & SUNDAYNo Work Scheduled.
