Spring Creek Oaks Custom Swimming Pool Construction Schedule - Spring, TXDAY 1 - APRIL 13th EXCAVATION, STEEL & STUB PLUMBINGExcavation began today on a custom built gunite swimming pool. The pool will have a kidney shaped spa with a small waterfall flowing into it. It will include a custom built gunite slide and larger moss rock waterfall. The pool also will have a 12" raised beam with two 3' sheer descents.
The pool is laid out. Then staked out; level set; then form boards nail into place. If there is any existing structures (ie landscaping, patios, sidewalks, trees) they are removed at this time.
Spring Pools not only Excavated the pool on Day One, we installed the Steel.....
....and the Stub Plumbing.
Typically we Excavate on Day One and install the Steel and Stub Plumbing on Day Two. This time several factors came together which allowed it to take place on Day One.
DAY 2 - APRIL 14th GUNITEToday the gunite sub-contractor Modern Method gets an early start. The area is prepped with plastic covering and tarps to prevent any of the gunite adhering to the home or other structures. The pool level is double-checked for accuracy. Modern Method was also contracted to install the slide. They begin installing the steel frame.
The sculpting of the gunite begins. Notches for tile, water features, rock, lights, and controllers are carved out of the gunite. The custom water slide is a wonderful added feature to any pool.
DAY 3 - APRIL 15th PLUMBINGPlumbing starts. Depending on the complexity of the pool; number of water features; and the distance of the plumbing runs, plumbing can take several days. Spring Pools take great care in locating existing services before we dig, but cable lines and phone are usually buried shallow and are easily cut with a shovel. Be prepared to call your provider to have them repaired.
