Creekside Park Custom Swimming Pool Construction Schedule - The Woodlands, TX
DAY 1 - March 2 EXCAVATION & STEELBeautiful weather to start construction on a swimming pool. Despite the rain yesterday, we were able to find a dumpsite we could get into to dump the dirt excavated from the pool. We left as much "good" dirt at the site as possible to help with the decking area around the pool. The backyard has a slope to it. Because of the slope, the deck and the pool in part of the yard are above the actual grade. Spring Pools has to build up the grade to a level even with the back patio. This keeps from having to install steps of the back patio. The yard is narrow and we needed the space the steps would have required.
DAY 2 - March 3rd GUNITEGeometric pools require much more care in their construction. Many calculations and measurements ensure the pool is square and symmetrical. The sculpting of the gunite is more precise, thus much more "rebound" is produced. Rebound is the extra gunite that is shaved off from what is blown on to the steel. The final gunite shell is wonderfully crafted by Modern Method Gunite.
DAY 3 - March 4th GUNITE CLEAN UPBecause there was so much gunite rebound produced in building the swimming pool, Spring Pools ordered the gunite clean up prior to any plumbing being started.
DAY 4 - March 5th PLUMBINGThe plumbing is started....
and finished in one day. Spring Pools uses separated lines for each Sheer Descent to make sure there is plenty of water flow for each one of them. The valves to regulate the water flow are placed at the pump, instead of running one line and placing valves at the Sheer Descents.
DAY 5 - March 6th ELECTRICALThe electrician for Spring Pools, J. Gomez Electric, is always flexible in his scheduling of work for us. The Woodlands Township requires trench inspections, to ensure proper plumbing and electrical codes are followed. The electrician is working on Saturday, so the trench inspection can be done on Monday. A day it is suppose to rain. Our subcontractors make the difference in having a swimming and spa built in less than one month, instead of more than two.
