Champions Custom Swimming Pool Construction Schedule - Spring, TXDAY 1 - August 13th EXCAVATIONBroke ground on another summer custom swimming pool. Today went very well in spite of the threat of rain. Spring Pools got an early start on excavation. This allowed for the steel and the stub plumbing to be installed in the pool as well. All in the same day!
The 20 percent change of rain increased to a 40 percent by the end of the day. There were a few drops, but nothing to keep from having the pool ready for Modern Method Gunite in the morning.
Thanks to Houston Diggers, Houston Rebar, and Jorge Plumbing for working hard to get the job done.
DAY 2 - August 14th GUNITEModern Method got an early start on the gunite. Gunite is an concrete that is pumped dry through a high pressured hose then mixed with water as it is being sprayed out of the hose. This process creates a mixure that bonds to the surface it is applied to. The pool is finished in about six hours. The gunite has to be "watered" four times a day for five days, while the it is curing. The watering helps the gunite cure at a slower rate, so it will not crack.
DAY 3 - August 15th PLUMBINGDAY 4 - August 16th Sunday (No Work Scheduled)DAY 5 - August 17th ELECTRICALInstalled the Intellitouch automated system.
